Patient 4

Details:

Procedure:

Bilateral Breast Augmentation with Breast Lift after Weight Loss

Procedure Notes:

This 37-year-old woman was concerned with the size and laxity of her breasts after weight loss. The patient reported that she was a “D” cup prior to her weight loss. The patient desired to have both a breast lift and breast augmentation to achieve a similar look to her breasts as she had before weight loss.

The breast augmentation and breast lift surgery was performed via intravenous sedation anesthesia (rather than general anesthesia). Intercostal nerve blocks were used to have it be a pain-free surgery and also to keep the patient comfortable after her breast augmentation and breast lift surgery.

The patient’s breasts were augmented bilaterally with 371 cc silicone gel-filled Natrelle® Style 15 implants. The breast implants were placed under the muscle (subpectoral) and the breasts were lifted using a periareolar incision (a circular incision hidden at the edge of the areola at the brown-white junction).
