Patient 6

Details:

Procedure:

Bilateral Breast Augmentation with Bilateral Breast Lift

Procedure Notes:

This is a 37 year old woman who was concerned about the size and laxity of her breasts.  Following nursing of her two children, she noticed a decrease in breast volume and that her breasts were now “sagging”. The patient chose to have both a breast lift and breast augmentation to address her concerns.

The breast augmentation and lift surgery was performed using intravenous sedation anesthesia and NO GENERAL ANESTHESIA.  Long acting Intercostal nerve blocks were used to ensure the surgery would be  pain free and to keep the patient comfortable  following the procedure.

We discussed the patient’s desire for what size she would like to be and our goal was to get just what she wanted:  “a very natural look”.  Breast implant sizers were also used in the operating room to help determine the implant size that would also best artistically match the patient’s body proportions and be SAFE.  Each breast was augmented using a 304cc silicone gel-filled Natrelle® Style 15 implant.  The implants were placed under the muscle.  Her breasts were lifted using a periareolar incision, a circular incision which traces the edge of the areola.
