Patient 4

Details:

Procedure:

Lower Blepharoplasty with suspension to remove eyelid puffiness and circles (lid cheek junction deformity).

Patient Concerns:

“Puffiness and loose skin give the appearance of tiredness-which I’m not”

Treatment:

Lower eyelids were addressed with special emphasis on removing the puffiness and the circles between the lower eyes and the cheek.

Lower eyelid suspension was done to help improve support.

Doctor’s View:

There is a fullness in all three compartments of the lower lid. There are marked asymmetries from side to side. There is greater fat protrusion on the right side than on the left side. There is more excessive skin on the left side than on the right side. There are prominent tear trough deformities bilaterally as well. They extend even beyond the orbital region into the cheek. There is some element of lower lid laxity with a three second snap test.

Lower lid blepharoplasty via a transconjunctival approach. We may also need to do a lateral canthopexy for stabilization of the lower lid. We would plan to be very conservative on any removal of lower eyelid skin because of the lower lid laxity problems.
