Patient safety is a cornerstone of our practice here at Dr. Sullivan’s office. As a double board certified surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Sullivan understands the importance physician certification. This understanding and concern for a patient’s wellbeing extends beyond our office and into our private surgical suite. Dr. Sullivan works with board certified anesthesiologists during all of his surgeries and ensures each patient is individually monitored by these doctors throughout their procedures. “Our operating room has such incredible monitoring.”
We have an operating room that has been certified by the state but also by a national organization. I think it is better than the operating rooms that we use at the hospital. It has such incredible monitoring. We are monitoring heart rate…when I say ‘we’ I don’t mean me at all. We have an MD Anesthesiologist there monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen level, carbon-dioxide levels. So we have an MD there monitoring all of that so then I can completely focus on my patient’s face, or breast, or body, or whatever is being done. That leads to a high degree of safety.
